Introduction to AI & Machine Learning
AI is all around us, from voice assistants like Siri and Alexa to the algorithms that serve up content on TikTok and other social media platforms. In this course, you’ll learn the foundational concepts behind AI and explore the many ways AI is being used today. The course will guide you through building your own unique AI tool. We’ll also look at AI’s future potential and its ethical implications. Come learn how to harness the power of AI and shape the future of technology.
What You’ll Learn
- The core concepts of AI, including machine learning, neural networks, computer vision, reinforcement learning and generative AI (large language models, or LLMs)
- How to utilize and create AI tools effectively for various tasks
- Exploration of the ethical implications and responsible development of AI
Who Should Register
This course is for ninth to 12th graders. To enroll, you should have foundational knowledge of Python, either through a course such as Coding in Python I or self-study, and familiarity navigating and using code libraries.

This online course is taught using Zoom and Canvas. Classes meet in real time and are not recorded. To participate, you should have access to a computer with a high-speed internet connection and a headset and webcam.
