Middle School Entrepreneurship: Innovators in Action
Have you ever had a great idea and wondered how to turn it into a real business? In this course, you’ll learn the basics of entrepreneurship as you create your own business project. From brainstorming ideas to understanding business plans to presenting your final project, you’ll explore creativity, problem-solving and teamwork — all while having fun!
What You’ll Learn
- How to use design thinking and entrepreneurial strategies to solve real-world problems
- How to generate ideas and develop them into workable projects
- Basics of planning, budgeting and marketing a small project
- How to collaborate with peers and deliver effective presentations
Who Should Register
This course is for incoming sixth to eighth graders.
More Information
The in-person section is taught on the UW Seattle campus. You’ll need regular access to a laptop. If you can’t bring one, we have a limited number of laptops for students with demonstrated need. You’ll have the opportunity to request one during registration.
There’s a nonrefundable $50 registration fee each quarter you register.
