Engineering Challenges!
Immerse yourself in hands-on engineering design and problem-solving activities. You'll use a variety of materials to build things that move and withstand forces, and investigate principles of science and engineering. Possible projects include rubber band powered–airplanes, electric boats, solar cars, cell phone amplifying devices, catapults, a hover/skimmer racer and walkalong gliders.

This course is for incoming sixth to eighth graders.

More Information
This in-person course is taught on the UW Seattle campus.
Students who want a full-day experience can register for two courses — one in the morning and one in the afternoon — which will include a supervised lunch break between courses. Students should bring a lunch.
